MIYAVIと「月の桂」十四代目当主である増田徳兵衛との出会いは、ある偶然から産まれました。
常に日本の素晴らしさをもっと世界に発信していきたいと考えていたMIYAVIは、ある日、京都伏見に雅(みやび)な酒がある。という噂を耳にしました。そして、それは酒処 伏見で最古の酒蔵だと。

MIYAVIが「月の桂」を訪ねたのは2018年秋のことでした。

実際に酒造りの工程を見学したMIYAVIは、その奥深さ、丁寧さ、「月の桂」が造り出す味、香り、こだわり、伝統、その歴史の重みに感銘を受け、その場で徳兵衛氏と意気投合し、共に世界を目指す「MIYAVI SAKE」を創ることを決心しました。
MIYAVIと増田徳兵衛は議論を重ね、一年掛けて準備してまいりました。
満を持して創られた「MIYAVI SAKE」は、熟成純米大吟醸酒「MIYAVI SAKE PREMIUM」、純米大吟醸酒「MIYAVI SAKE STANDARD」、純米酒「MIYAVI SAKE LIGHT」、純米スパークリング酒「MIYAVI SAKE SPARKLING」の4種。

ギターを武器に世界を躍らせてきたMIYAVIが、今、京都 伏見、最古の酒蔵「月の桂」とタッグを組んで、世界を、酔わせます。

An encounter between MIYAVI and Tokubei Masuda, the 14th generation owner of the “Tsuki no Katsura” brewery, was born from serendipitous coincidence.
MIYAVI, having had always wanted to spread Japan’s splendor to the world, had known of a ‘Miyabi’ - which stands for elegance and gracefulness - sake brewery for some time.
He was finally able to pay a visit to the brewery, which is situated in one of the most popular sake-brewing regions, in the fall of 2018.

Touring through the sake brewing process, MIYAVI was so impressed not only by the taste and aroma of the brewery’s sake, but also by the politeness, commitment, history, and tradition of “Tsuki no Katsura.” It didn’t take long before they decided to work on creating "MIYAVI SAKE” together, setting their sights on the world.
After a year of diligent preparation, “MIYAVI SAKE” has come to full fruition and satisfaction from its creators and are proud to present the four types “Jukusei (Aged) Junmai-Daiginjo MIYAVI SAKE PREMIUM,” “Junmai-Daiginjo MIYAVI SAKE STANDARD,” “Junmai MIYAVI SAKE LIGHT,” and “Junmai-sparkling sake MIYAVI SAKE SPARKLING.”

MIYAVI, who has touched hearts around the world with his adjective music, is now aiming to do the same in a different manner - a collaboration together with a historic sake brewery in Kyoto, Fushimi, to craft a new line of sake.

    純米大吟醸酒を十年もの歳月をかけて熟成。
    琥珀色の輝きと芳醇な香りは、テキーラやラムの古酒を彷彿させる類まれな逸品。

    Aged the Junmai Daiginjo Sake over 10 years, transforming the sake into a beautiful gem-like amber color, and the rich fragrance reminiscent of aged tequila and rum.

    STANDARDJUNMAI DAIGINJO

    ピーチやライチなど果実の香りを含みながらそれでいてすっきりした上品な味わいのバランスは、まさに雅な純米大吟醸酒。世界を酔わせます。

    Stable balance of refined and refreshing taste including the fruity fragrance such as peach and lychee, definitely defines the ‘Miyabi’ flavor.

TSUKI NO KATSURA

Established in the year 1675 (known as "the third year of the Empou Era").
There is an especially old history of sake breweries within the area known as "Fushimi," where both NIgori-sake and Koshyu (well-cured sake) were known to originate from.
The area faces the road towards "Toda Tsukurimichi" (Toda New Road) in Mie Prefecture, which was traversed by nobles who would then stay in Fushimi during their travels from the capital (Kyoto) to the west. The inscription on "Tsuki no Katsura" was originated by a court noble named "Ane-kouji Arinagara" during the late Edo period of Japan.
One day, he visited in our house, and he sang this poem "the blooming moon reflected upon the clear of Katsura river's water with our sake to flourish over generation" We picked "Tsuki no Katsura" phrase up from the poem.
There are katsura river and kamo river behind our sake brewery.
Many authors and artists praised this Sake, as it was referred to as the "Sake for cultured people." Most importantly, is the brewer who carefully created this Sake's "seasonality" and "uniqueness."
